The Afterbirth+ ARG began about a month after the release of Afterbirth+ expansion pack for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

On February 7, an blog entry titled 109 was posted to the official Binding of Isaac development blog. The post simply said: isaacisdead. Both the number 109 and the phrase "isaacisdead" were references to the Afterbirth ARG, which was the precursor to this one. However, the post was deleted after a few hours.
This ARG is still under investigation - new leads will be revealed or debunked in the days to come.
