Role Hierarchy

Role	Permissions	Channel-specific	Description
Admin	All permissions.		Handles management of the community. Formerly Moderator.
Moderator	Message Manage permission, Manage Roles in emergencies, otherwise role management is handled through a bot.		Moderates the Discord server.
Wiki Editor	No additional permissions. Can pin messages through GDBot.	#only-wiki-eds Mention @everyone.	Permitted to edit this wiki.
Agent	No additional permissions.		Gained for outstanding contribution to the community.
Discord Staff	No additional permissions.		An official member of Discord's staff.
Detective	Can embed, attach, and use voice activity.		Gained after being active for a while.
User	Can send messages and speak in voice chat.		Gained for being on the server. Not an actual role, but a status.
Off-topic sanction	Can only send messages in off-topic channels.		Gained for being repeatedly and obnoxiously off-topic in on-topic channels, or temporarily for being off-topic in a meta meeting.
Muted	Can only read messages and history, listen to voice chat.		Gained for being very naughty.

Official Bot	All permissions except TTS messages
ARG Bot	Same as Unofficial Bot, but designates the bot as being part of an ARG.
Unofficial Bot	Read, send, manage messages in #bot-commands and #meme-trash, embed links, attach files, read message history, listen and speak in voice chat.	Can vary per bot.
