LEVELS was an ARG centred around the the mysterious LEVELS website. Little was discovered about it, but the site was initially intended to have seven "trials", each of which would grant an appropriate level of access on the LEVELS website.
Once registered, the players were met with challenges to complete/solve. The puppetmaster made it clear that these challenges were intended to be completed individually, to broaden individuals' own skills and knowledge. Participants were supposed to complete the registration on their own (to test their skills and abilities), but information sharing for the further challenges is advised.
The LEVELS website went through several iterations, and, most recently, it has become a forum where users can share puzzles and collaborate on challenges. (Link: https://levels.your-host.xyz/) However, discussion of LEVELS on the Game Detectives Discord server decreased significantly after the website became a forum, and investigation of LEVELS has since been closed.
