Hawkins Power and Light
A poster was found in a NYC subway advertising the fictional company Hawkins Power and Light, from the Stranger Things universe. When the phone number appearing on the ad is called, 1-888-355-8703
, the caller is prompted with a menu containing a series of options:
Transcript of menu:
To learn more about our mission, press one. For news and updates, press two. To report an outage or suspicious activity, press three. For hours of operation, press four. To listen to customer testimonials, press five. If you would like to learn more about Hawkins Power and Light, press six.
When option number four is selected, the transmission is interrupted with a sequence of tones. These were identified as dtmf, resulting in the following string: 5309746849872
